Conor Malone
Captain
Reliable, loyal, and dedicated to his family and friends, he brings that same integrity to everything he does.
Born and raised in Sun Valley, Idaho, Conor was a natural athlete. At just 16, he stepped into the concrete trade, working his way up to becoming a general contractor. For over 15 years, he successfully ran his own residential construction company—until 2024, when he decided to trade blueprints for blue water and chase his lifelong dream of sailing the ocean.
Now, he’s fully immersed in life aboard Big Lost, navigating the seas and ensuring his family’s safe passage from one adventure to the next. When he’s not at the helm, he’s likely honing his newest obsession—spearfishing—where, unsurprisingly, he’s already proving to be a natural.
Kelly Malone
First Mate
Kelly’s love for the water started early, sailing through the San Juan Islands with her family as a child. Originally from Seattle, WA, she later moved to Sun Valley, ID, where she embraced the mountain lifestyle—skiing, camping, and competing in Dressage. A fierce competitor, she rode all over the West Coast, proving that hard work and determination could take her anywhere.
Her career path has been just as dynamic. From managing horse barns to working in cellular site acquisition and eventually finding her true passion in real estate development and sales. She brings that same competitive drive to everything she does.
In her spare time, Kelly loves waterskiing, alpine skiing, and elk hunting. She never turns down an adventure, loves to travel, and didn’t hesitate for a second when it came time to swap land life for sea life.
Kelly’s favorites? Mexican food, a good spicy margarita, and chasing new horizons aboard Big Lost.
Finn Malone
Bosun
Finn has a heart as big as the ocean he now calls home. Always the sweetest and kindest guy, he has a knack for making friends wherever he goes. Like his dad, he’s a natural athlete, drawn to individual sports like tennis, waterskiing, and alpine skiing.
When he's not out on the water, you’ll likely find him immersed in a video game or deep into a graphic novel. A science enthusiast, he loves dropping fun facts on his family, keeping conversations interesting and educational.
Since moving aboard Big Lost, Finn has embraced sailing life with ease. He’s taken up spearfishing, made new friends in every port, and learned to appreciate the simple joys of life on the water. And while he loves adventure, he also enjoys just kicking back on the boat—preferably with cheese and crackers and an ice-cold Coca-Cola (when his parents allow it)
Madeline Malone
Able Seawoman
Maddie is a fearless go-getter, always leading the charge toward the next adventure. A kind soul and a fiercely loyal friend, she brings both strength and warmth wherever she goes.
On the ice, Maddie is a fearsome hockey player, never hesitating to brave the cold for another lap around the rink. She’s also a beautiful alpine skier, though waterskiing never quite clicked for her like it did for the rest of the family. Instead, she gets her adrenaline fix behind the wheel of an ATV.
Beyond her love for speed, Maddie is a budding artist and has developed a passion for baking since moving aboard Big Lost. She’s also an avid scuba diver, always eager to explore the underwater world. A devoted animal lover, she has a soft spot for every stray cat or dog she meets in port—much to her parents’ dismay.
Her favorite indulgences? Popcorn drenched in butter and an ice-cold Ginger Ale (when she gets parental approval).
Maddie has embraced boat life with excitement, always looking forward to the next adventure.
